Cast of Characters

Roughly in order of appearance, listed with a note of creator/writer and a brief description of their role in the story.

Takayama Kippei, formerly Tachibana - (Kagi) a star tennis player, age 22, whose boyfriend has been in a coma for three years following a train accident

Takayama Shinji, formerly Ibu - (Leth) Kippei’s boyfriend, real age 20 but 17 in his head, who finally woke up from his coma

Takayama Rien - (Kagi) Kippei’s other boyfriend, age 27, whom he started going out with after he finally gave up on Shinji waking up

Ibu Soushi - (Leth) Shinji’s father, who has a great deal of patience

Ibu Ashara - (Leth) Shinji’s mother, who is a great deal like Shinji and loves him in a very possessive if not smothering way

Ibu Sada - (Leth) one of Shinji’s sisters, eight years younger and fairly identical to Shinji in girl form

Hanataki Naota - (Leth) Shinji’s physical therapist, and sometimes counselor and shrink

Ibu Ashi - (Leth) Shinji’s other sister, three years younger and all grown up now, crushing on Akira

Tachibana An - (Kagi) Kippei’s sister, two years younger and the same age as Shinji and Akira

Hanataki-san - (Leth) Naota’s father and Shinji’s primary doctor while in recovery

Haruaki - (Leth) Naota’s pretty blind boyfriend whose brother is also in a coma

Kamio Akira - (Kagi) Shinji and Kippei’s teammate who was also in the accident, now walks with the help of a cane and plays dj at local clubs

Tachibana Hiro & Aya - (Kagi) Kippei’s parents, who generally disapprove of their son being gay and Rien in particular, but they mean well

Takayama Kimiko & Daichi - (Kagi) Rien’s parents, the only set of parents to completely accept their sons’ relationship

Tempest – (Leth) Shinji’s tutor, who comes occasionally mostly to test him out of things and has an embarrassing crush on Kippei – embarrassing for him, that is

Sasaki Toshio - (Kagi) an asexual and extremely lazy shrink who works at the resort where the trio take their honeymoon

Hakaru Enishi - (Kagi) Toshio’s roommate and ‘boyfriend’, at his own insistence, who is in charge of grounds and maintenance at the resort
